I achieved a degree in Business Administration in March 2008. At the end of my university studies I carried out a thesis job regarding the organisational control within the business system of Local Public Transport. I found some aspects very exciting, for instance its deregulation process and the subsequent fast evolution of the public transport enterprises organisation. In my opinion it's very stimulating to understand the company needs and ways to compete in this particular environment. I believe that the best way to face the organisation changes is to adopt a proactive approach. I experience new and exciting challenges everyday and change management has become a professional interest for me. I joined Arriva Italy (SAB) in May 2008. At the beginning I spent one week in EAVBUS, a transportation company based in Naples. Then I worked, with my colleagues, on the production of a written publication that highlights the history of Italian companies S.A.B., S.A.L. and S.I.A., that are part of Arriva Italy. I was then engaged in a period of training on the job in the accounting department where I worked on:
In October 2008 I achieved the Certificate as Operator in the field of passenger road transport according to the Directive of the European Union Council No 98/76/EC of 1st October 1998. I then visited the Engineering Department (phase 3 of the Graduate Programme) and the most interesting areas were:
I also defined a specific formula to calculate the right quantity of anti-freeze liquid to add to the buses tanks according to the maintenance operation. Now I'm in phase 2 and 4 (Finance and Operational Area). I'm very interested in Finance and Management Control and in Finance I have had the opportunity to delve into Insurances and to read and analyse the budget and reporting. I'm really enjoying the time in Arriva and I think it's a very constructive experience to be part of this Graduate Programme.
